This is a wonderful Yohji Yamamoto dress, made under the Y’s label as part of the 2004 spring/summer collection. This Yohji Yamamoto dress definitely takes inspiration from 1920s flapper fashion with the hemline of the dress being shorter at the front and back and longer at the sides. It is made in a sleeveless style with no closures and with a dropped waist. It has unfinished seams, so frays are visible at some edges and the neckline and arm openings are supported with linen that is also unfinished along its edges - this, of course, is original and done on purpose, part of Yamamoto’s design aesthetic.
Material: 100% rayon / components are 100% linen
Sizing: Size 3 is indicated, which is Yamamoto’s code for a medium size, but please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the dress into consideration:
